How I broke the cycle of generational dysfunction one AHA! moment at a time.

I seriously considered suicide twice - 16 and again at 46.  When I finally woke up and became aware of my family's destructive relationship patterns and how I was repeating them,  my healing journey began. You can't teach what you don't know, and you can't change what you're not aware of.  My passion is sharing with everyone the path I took and the resources I used to heal.  Despite the mental health issues I had I had, I held on tightly to one goal...to make sure my children did NOT grow up IN the same neglectful way I did.  I was determined to do the opposite of what my narcissistic family did...and make sure my children felt seen, validated and loved for who they naturally are.  I focused on one goal as a parent  - to give my children a childhood that they won't have to spend the rest of their lives recovering from. I hope to inspire other hurting people to begin their own healing journey.

Join fun NON-therapists as we discuss not-so-fun toxic families and multi-generational dysfunction. We are ordinary people sharing a healing journey in hopes to inspire other ordinary people to laugh as well as find their own path to healing.

My long term goal is to help the "emotionally bruised but not broken' to begin their own healing journey using multi-media and multi-sensory approaches. I have been on a healing journey for 5 years and hope to inspire others with humor, music and my story.

The only way you can describe how you feel is that you feel minimized.  You feel crushed and smothered.  You’re constantly second-guessing yourself; your feelings, your perceptions, your memories, and a small, suffocated part inside of you wonders wh...
